NUVO Awarded Contract to Manage over 2,000 Servers
Service Delivery Performance Key Factor in Decision
OTTAWA, ONTARIO–(CCNMatthews – Aug. 9, 2006) – NUVO Network Management Inc.,(TSX VENTURE:NVO – News), a leading managed services provider of solutions that MAXimize IT® availability and performance, today announces that it has been selected as the solution provider for server and security management for one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies.
NUVO will provide 24×7 remote server monitoring and problem management for over 2,000 servers located throughout North America and Europe. NUVO will provide this service remotely from its secure operation center in Ottawa. Additionally, security management of the customer’s IDS sensors will be provided.
The customer provides entertainment, news, and information to a global audience. Their business runs 24×7 across the world, requiring an always-on infrastructure. They were looking to reduce cost of operation, extend the management to all servers in their enterprise and to improve overall availability. The servers were being managed with on-site resources in the core operations centers.
The selection of NUVO was made after an in-depth review of NUVO’s processes, on-site assessment to ensure NUVO’s facilities, people and process met the highest standards and a pilot of the server management service.
